I have a passion for health and fitness, a passion that led me to create FUN FIT DANCE. My journey began when I turned to fitness as an outlet for both social interaction and personal wellness. As time has passed, my passion has grown, and now a healthy active lifestyle is a habit that I never want to break.

As I began to create a better version of myself and my love for fitness grew, a desire to inspire others and give them the same gift began to grow as well. I completed my CANFITPro Group Fitness certification and began teaching 6 years ago. From Cardio Dance to HIIT FIIT to Total Muscle Conditioning and from schools to community centres to streaming online, I’ve loved every minute of it.

During COVID Quarantine, I created an online fitness community for clients to be able to stay fit by having access to classes both live and recorded. I offered all types of workouts for all levels. Being able to share the gift of fitness during these isolating times was personally rewarding and allowed our fitness community to stay connected while also caring for body and mind.

We now have a community in which you will have so much fun working out you will forget you are actually working out! A positive environment where teammates can thrive, build relationships and workout all in one...this is FUN FIT DANCE! I invite you to join our health and fitness journey with us.

Chantale SPassionate & Exciting

I reached a point in my life where I was sporting the COVID-15-Pack. My new work-from-home routine had gotten ahead of my fitness. I was no longer running after a bus or train nor was I physically active. For most of my adult life, I was a runner and used to have a consistent yoga routine. Over the years I enjoyed training for half marathons and mud obstacle races. In my late 40’s I started playing soccer. For the most part, I’d always been reasonably fit and didn’t really worry about my weight. During the summer of 2021, I realized I needed to do something about weight gain.
I was so blessed to find Michelle and started personal training with her in August 2021. I started noticing changes within the first month or so and I dropped 12 pounds by the Oct/Nov and 15 inches. I’ve been training with her for 10 mos now and I feel so much stronger. My fitness level increased noticeably, so much in fact that when playing soccer I couldn’t believe the power in my legs! Her sessions are always full-body workouts and one thing I absolutely love is that every workout is different. In the old days, I used to be bored with trainers and gyms as it was the same old same old. But Michelle keeps me on my toes, which I need, someone to kick me in the butt! One thing that drew me to Michelle is her incredible positive energy. She is very motivating, and encouraging and works closely with her clients to achieve their goals in a supportive environment. She is quite personable and knowledgeable about fitness and training. She designs challenging workouts and takes care to ensure there is proper form/posture so that my technique is correct and I avoid injuries. On the injury front, I fractured my ankle and Michelle re-jigged the workout sessions around my injury.
For anyone considering signing up up with FFD fitness I highly recommend it! I am so pleased with my personal training sessions with Michelle. I'm 53 now and feel stronger than I have ever been!

I first met Michelle when I attended her dance classes at the rec center. Her classes were always fun with great music, and once you figured out the routines, it was easier to keep up. Michelle with her outgoing personality encouraged us to keep moving and gave us low and high-intensity options. Then COVID hit and just when I thought I did not have any workout options that I would enjoy, Michelle, stepped up and offered online classes. This helped me expand my workout horizons. I used to just dance, but Michelle’s classes offered so much more! I found that I really enjoyed her HIIT Fit classes, TMC – Total Muscle Control, and Tabata, and she still did her dance classes on Fridays to round out the week. She inspired me to build my own gym area in my basement, which now includes weights, a step, a Bosu, a kettlebell and a medicine ball so I can keep building my strength and muscle while I work out with her. She stresses that you don’t need all of these tools to work out with her and gives you household options (such as tea towels or cans of soup) if you want to add resistance to your workouts. Then I hit a plateau. Despite doing a number of workouts a week, my weight started to rise. I was struggling and feeling lost as to what to do next. Michelle provided another option to help me with my fitness goals...personal training. I started working out with her in her home 3x a week and she helped me push myself to the next level. She was positive and encouraging and this motivated me to want to complete the number of reps that she wanted me to do...even with a smile on my face! The weight started to come off, I developed muscle tone, and I became stronger! I started to feel really good about the way I looked and the way that I felt. I had energy and really looked forward to my workout sessions with her. She gets to know her clients on a personal level and that is really important when you are looking for someone to help you transform. She asks the right questions to figure out what you want from her and designs her classes to help you reach your goals. She is excellent at reading her clients and is able to quickly modify or change an exercise if the individual has an injury. Her workout area is clean and bright, she disinfects after each client and she has excellent taste in music (which always helps when you are working out – you have got to have a great playlist)! I would recommend Michelle to anyone looking for a personal fitness coach.

I love FFD. First I get to see friends at a safe distance. It motivates me to get out of the house 2 or 3 days a week and if I cannot Michelle is as close as our TV or ipad. My heart rate and energy level is perfect. I work out until I sparkle even at below zero temperature. It keeps me sane.

My key fitness goals are to maintain bone health (I have osteopenia) and reduce joint pain and stiffness due to osteoarthritis. It’s also really important to me to maintain strength and flexibility as I begin to age (I am 67).
Michelle is an enthusiastic coach, designing exercise programs that challenge me safely, can be modified on the fly depending on the state of my body on any particular day, and are changed up all the time, so our sessions are never routine or boring! In the six months I’ve been working out with Michelle, I’ve definitely noted an increase in overall strength. I know the twice-weekly weight-bearing sessions are an important contributor to my being able to maintain my current bone density levels. Also, I often experience a joyful sense of being pain-free in my joints after working out!
Having a personal fitness coach is key to ensuring that I maintain my commitment to regular strength training. I appreciate that Michelle pushes me farther than I would go on my own, while always considering how my body’s feeling each session. I appreciate her technical knowledge, and also how inventive she is with the use of props in order to tailor exercises to my specific needs and fitness level.
Michelle is conscientious, organized, sensitive, and professional. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking a fitness coach!
